A bronze medallion depicts a man's relief bust facing us with long, wavy hair and a mustache. A sash runs diagonally across his high-collared garment. French inscriptions in raised capitals arc around his head, enclosed by a laurel wreath border. Dark patina settles into the recesses of his deep-set eyes and textured curls, highlighting the details against the warm, aged surface of the metal.
