A circular bronze medal, finished with a warm brown patina, features an industrial landscape in low relief with the year 1918 centered at the top. Factory buildings with smoking chimneys and signs reading ATELIERS DE and LA MONNAIE occupy the center and right, while a gantry structure stands to the left. Below, the inscription LA MONNAIE AU PORT DE ROCHEFORT arches above a curved anchor and chain following the lower rim.
