A horizontally oriented etching in black ink depicts animal and plant sketches scattered across a light surface. In the upper left, a rooster stands with its back toward us. Below, a skate appears beside a flowering plant with large, veined leaves. A pheasant-like bird perches in the lower right. Dense leafy branches and jagged ferns occupy the upper center and right, rendered with a mix of bold strokes and fine lines.
