A horizontally oriented etching on light brown paper depicts a wooden bridge spanning a river. Strong vertical lines form massive supporting pilings, their dark shapes reflected in the water below. At the bottom left foreground, sketchy lines outline two figures in a small boat. Small figures and carriages populate the bridge's horizontal deck, while fine strokes on the right convey a sailboat passing under a span toward a hazy shoreline of faint trees.
