A horizontally oriented etching on tan paper uses delicate, spindly lines to depict a lagoon scene with a two-masted ship anchored near the center. Numerous smaller sailboats and a faint shoreline stretch across the hazy horizon. In the lower right, small figures gather on a stone terrace, while a lone figure rows a small boat through the foreground. Fine hatching creates soft shadows and reflections across the still, light-toned water.
