A vertically oriented etching depicts a seated person wearing a turban and draped cloak, facing our right. They hold a long, thin pipe to their mouth, their right leg extending forward in a tall boot. Dense cross-hatching creates deep shadows in the background and foreground, leaving a bright area of unworked paper that glows behind the figure's head and upper body. A handwritten signature appears in the lower right margin.
