A horizontally oriented etching depicts a landscape of silhouetted ruins and bare trees. In the foreground, dense cross-hatching creates a dark base from which a thick, splintered tree trunk near the center and jagged building remains rise against a light sky. Fine horizontal lines texture the upper half, with long lines radiating upward like dim rays. The intricate black-and-white linework conveys a stark, desolate scene.
