A horizontally oriented etching in black ink on off-white paper depicts a vast industrial quarry. Fine, sketchy lines create a steep cliff face plunging into a deep pit on the left. In the middle ground, tall, spindly cranes with web-like support wires rise above tiny figures and sheds. In the foreground, loose, sweeping strokes define a sandy path with tire tracks, guiding the eye through the scene. Handwritten text marks the bottom margin.
