A horizontally oriented etching in black ink on cream paper depicts a man in a wide-brimmed hat standing behind two mules. One animal faces away, laden with bulky sacks, while the other faces us with tall, alert ears. A jug rests near a water spout to the right. Dense cross-hatching creates deep shadows, set against a sparse background of distant hills and a small building. Handwritten script marks the lower margin.
