A vertically oriented black-and-white lithograph depicts a cathedral rising above a dense grove of trees. A tall, thin spire centers the composition above arched buttresses and two square towers. Much of the lower half is cast in heavy, sketched shadow where a pointed monument stands. Light diagonal lines texture the pale sky. In the margins, handwritten numbers appear at the lower left and a signature at the lower right.
