A vertically oriented etching in black ink on cream paper depicts Ignace Jan Paderewski in profile, facing our right. He has voluminous, wavy hair and a dark mustache. Shaded with fine, dense hatching and cross-hatching, his features emerge from a shadowy background on the right. To our left, lighter diagonal lines fill the space. Depicted from the shoulders up, his lower torso dissolves into sketchy lines near the bottom margin.
