Description

In this, the fifth in Klinger’s series On Death, Part One, death occurs in a seemingly peaceful landscape. In a large meadow bordered by woods, a nanny has fallen asleep upon a bench. Beside her is a baby carriage, beneath which lies fallen bedding. On a path in the distance, toward the darkness of the forest, Death leads the child away, dead as a result of its fall.
