A vertically oriented etching in black ink features a skeleton lying across railroad tracks that recede toward craggy mountains. A narrow river winds through a distant valley. A thick, dark border frames the scene, containing distorted, mask-like faces along the sides and gnarled, root-like forms at the bottom. The monochromatic print uses fine lines and textured shading to render the detailed anatomy of the skeleton against the stark landscape.
