A circular, warm brown bronze medal centers a large cicada in raised relief with folded wings. Flanking the insect, the letters "FA" and "MA" form the word "FAMA." In the lower right, a monogram sits above the year "1933" and a copyright symbol. A beaded border circles the outer edge of the smooth surface.
