A circular bronze medal features a muscular man in relief, facing our left. He wears a collared, short-sleeved shirt and trousers, gripping a curved lever attached to a large anvil. To the right, a cluster of crosses stands on a low mound. Raised lettering flanking the figure reads "MAN TO TURN SAVAGERY" and "SEEKS FROM THE OF WAR." The date "1936" is centered at the bottom on the smooth, dark-patinated surface.
