A horizontally oriented black-and-white lithograph depicts a man strapped into an electric chair in a cramped interior. Blindfolded and wearing a white shirt, he sits centered, with a robed figure to our left reading from a book. To our right, several somber observers stand and sit in shadow. Heavy, dark shading and a prominent horizontal crease define the scene, with figures emerging from dense, charcoal-like tones.
