A circular bronze medal features a dark, textured field set with raised, metallic serif lettering. Centered at the top are the dates 1636–1936. Below, a ten-line inscription reads: "OUT OF SMALLE BEGINNINGS GREAT ER THINGS HAVE BEEN PRODUSED BY HIS HAND THAT MADE ALL THINGS OF NOTHING AND GIVES BEING TO ALL THINGS THAT ARE." A fine, serrated border rings the entire edge, catching light against the medal's dark background.
