A heavy, transparent glass bowl features an asymmetrically slanted rim that dips low on the right. Its thick, polished walls curve smoothly into a solid, weighted base. Luminous highlights dance along the vessel's interior and exterior edges, contrasting with a dark, circular reflection pooled at its center. A soft, diffuse shadow stretches from the left, highlighting the bowl's minimalist form and the pristine clarity of the colorless material.

Did You Know?

Strömbergshyttan specialized in simple and sleek glass wares when elaborate decoration was more popular.

Description

This hemispherical bowl with its thick walls became one of Strömbergshyttan’s most profitable models. Designed by Gerda Strömberg, the bowl was initially available in warm-tinted glass hues. This bowl is an early example of the manufacturer’s shift to glass wares in cooler gray-tinted shades.
