A circular bronze medal depicts a woman kneeling and facing our right, embracing a small child. Her right arm is raised with her palm facing outward. Above them, four horsemen wielding a bow, scales, and sword gallop through clouds. A castle stands to the left and ruined columns rise on the right. A rat crouches in the lower left. At the bottom, the text reads "THE OLD WORLD 1939."
