Head of a Man

1884
Location: Not on view

Description

In this drawing, MacMonnies drew not only with the point of his charcoal but also with the side of the stick to create a sense of volume and shading. Such richly tonal charcoal drawings are characteristic of work produced at the Royal Academy in Munich, where this drawing was made.
