A vertically oriented red chalk and gouache drawing on tan paper depicts the back of a man's head and neck. His head, crowned with short, wavy hair, tilts slightly right, revealing the back of his ears. Fine hatching and shading define the muscles of the neck and shoulders. Roughly rectangular, the aged paper features frayed edges and minor spotting across its surface.
