A vertically long gold and dark green velvet fragment features a repeating pattern of large scalloped medallions enclosing intricate floral blossoms against a shimmering gold ground. Fine green lines of delicate vines and tiny flowers fill the interstices between these primary forms. The dark green velvet is raised, creating a textured surface against the flat, glinting gold thread. A partial medallion on the left edge indicates a larger repeating textile composition.
