A horizontally oriented etching depicts a dark, timber bridge spanning the upper half over a river. Fine black lines detail numerous figures and a horse-drawn carriage crossing the deck. A sailboat with a white sail floats in the middle ground, while thick, cross-hatched piers support the bridge. The foreground consists of unworked, off-white paper with a small, stylized butterfly mark in the lower right.
