A horizontally oriented lithograph in black ink depicts wooden buildings along a dark shoreline. In the center, a large barn stands near a line of laundry, flanked by houses. Beyond, dark water reflects a bright glare on our left. A broad shaft of light descends from heavy clouds over shaded hills on our right. Fine stippling and hatching create deep shadows and dramatic, luminous highlights throughout the landscape.
