A circular bronze medal with a warm brown patina depicts a stylized woman and child in relief. The woman's large face features heavy-lidded, downcast eyes and long, undulating hair. Beside her, a curly-haired infant gazes right with a slightly open mouth, supported by a large hand. The Latin words "PRO" and "PATRIA" are inscribed in raised capital letters along the left and right edges, following the medal's curve.
