Description
The Bath is related to the mother and child paintings and pastels Cassatt was making before she embarked upon the color prints. As her career progressed, the theme of mothers and children, physically close and psychologically absorbed in each other, would play an increasingly significant role in her art.- ?-1941Estate of Charles T.
