A vertically oriented drypoint depicts a young girl with a light skin tone seated and facing forward in an armchair. Her eyes look toward our right. She wears a wide-brimmed bonnet with a large bow and a dress with puffed sleeves. Sparse, delicate lines and parallel shading outline her clasped hands and the chair. The light cream paper is mostly blank, with denser detail and hatching defining the girl's features.
