One side of a circular bronze medal features an inscription circling an image (see "Inscriptions" field). Three stylized ants are depicted in low relief: one at the bottom facing upward and two at the top angled toward each other. A thistle and a daisy flank the lower portion of the inscription. The textured surface of the medal has a warm, brownish-gold patina.
