A vertically oriented lithograph depicts a tall, thin man with light skin tone crowning a small boy with a laurel wreath. Standing with legs wide and facing right, the man wears spectacles and a dark tailcoat. The boy looks down, clutching a second wreath against light trousers and a dark jacket. To the left, a table holds books below framed calligraphic text and a drawing of an eye. Fine cross-hatching defines the figures and interior.
