A circular bronze medal with a warm gold-brown patina features five slender, topless women in Art Deco relief on a tiered rectangular platform. Dressed in long skirts, they are arranged with one sitting and two standing on the left, and another pair on the right. Below, two low-slung animals crouch above an inscription titled THE FOOLISH VIRGINS, concluding with a line by Tennyson. Light glints off the medal's sharp edges and smooth surfaces.
