A translucent, off-white jade sculpture depicts a bird among flowering plants in an intricate openwork design, the elements forming a complex, horizontal arrangement. On our left, a large flower bud with layered petals sits atop thick, twisting stems. These connect to a bird on our right that faces left, its long tail curving downward. Fine incised lines define the bird's plumage and the plants' textures throughout the perforated stone.
