A vertically oriented lithograph depicts a large, textured pine bough hanging from the upper right over a grassy ridge. On the ridge, one figure sits upright while another reclines, propping their head on a hand. They overlook a pale, bright body of water and hazy sky. At the bottom center, the words: "The Pine Bough". In the lower left margin, a handwritten inscription reads: "Bolton Brown imp."
