A vertically oriented woodcut print in black ink on cream paper depicts an armored knight riding a horse that rears toward our right. The knight holds a long, vertical lance on our left. Beneath the horse, several sheep with long ears and pointed snouts fill the foreground. Sharp, angular black shapes and jagged white lines create an abstracted, textured composition where high contrast defines the overlapping figures and animals.
