A vertically oriented lithograph depicts Polichinelle, a man with light skin and a white mustache, walking toward the right. He wears a tall, patterned blue and yellow hat and a ruffled white collar above a tunic covering protrusions on his chest and back. His right leg has blue and yellow breeches, while his left is green. He carries a stick behind his back. French text and Manet's signature appear at the bottom.
