Dense, cross-hatched lines create deep shadows on our left, where wooden scaffolding leans against masonry. In the river beyond, figures navigate small boats near a multi-arched bridge. Buildings with pointed towers rise in the background under a sky filled with birds. On our right, a figure hangs from ropes. Text at the bottom reads "Paris 1853."
