A horizontally oriented watercolor painting depicts a white dove facing away, head tucked. Large, fanned tail feathers sweep toward our left in an arc of white and charcoal gray streaks. A single bright red leg and foot extend toward our right, lower center. Behind the bird, a mottled dark blue and gray wash creates a textured backdrop that fades to light gray along the bottom of the composition.
