A horizontally oriented watercolor depicts a naturalistic pigeon standing and facing forward on a pale gray surface. The bird has a dark gray and brown body with iridescent green flecks on its neck and pinkish feet. Behind the pigeon, muted brown and gray washes create a textured background. The body casts a soft shadow to the right, and small linear markings appear in the lower right corner.
