A horizontally oriented etching in black ink depicts a calm expanse of water beneath a swath of plain paper. On our right, two masted vessels with dark, hatched sails and rippled reflections sit together. A solitary figure in a small boat rests at the center. To our left, delicate fine lines define a distant horizon dotted with windmills and sailboats. The margins contain a handwritten number 8/75 and a signature.
