Description
Munakata cut away what he did not want to print. Whatremains in relief--that is, the raised portions of the carved woodblock--is inked and printed. Printing reverses the image.- Cleveland, Ohio: The Cleveland Museum of Art; December 12, 2004- April 10, 2005. "Visions of Japan: Prints and Paintings from Cleveland Collections".
