Hewn Clay Bowl "Samara"
c 1950s ?
(American, 1906–2008)
Overall: 11.1 x 35.6 cm (4 3/8 x 14 in.)
Location: Not on view
Description
Created by Cleveland native and industrial designer Viktor Schreckengost, this hewn clay bowl eschews the Art Deco style that the artist is known for. The glazing of the bowl's wide and shallow interior creates a subtle gray-brown gradient.- {{cite web|title=Hewn Clay Bowl "Samara"|url=false|author=Viktor Schreckengost|year=c 1950s ?|access-date=20 December 2025|publisher=Cleveland Museum of Art}}
