Black chalk and gray wash on a horizontally oriented strip of cream paper presents four loose figure studies. On the left, dark wash silhouettes figures huddled at a table. To their right, sketchy outlines form a standing person and another leaning forward. A central group features four figures, including one wearing a tall headdress. On the far right, a solitary figure sits hunched over. Quick, gestural lines create a hazy sense of movement.
