Description
Seated on an intricate miniature stand, this polished nephrite (jade) egg features a cabochon ruby on top and a hinged gold-leaf border that reveals the interior. Within the egg, on a bed of gold, is a nest of even smaller eggs. Each red, white, and green egg mirrors an aspect of the larger egg, recalling the cleverness and meticulous details found within every House of Fabergé object.- India E. Minshall, Cleveland, Ohio.
