Description
After studying painting and drawing in his native Japan, Hasegawa moved to Paris in 1961. Shortly thereafter he began working with Stanley William Hayter at Atelier 17, where he mastered techniques of color etching. An especially refined example is Illuminations, which features an array of abstracted light and dark architectural shapes against an orange background.- Plunkett & Co., Kansas City, MO
