Description

Throughout his career, Mark Greenwold has consistently tackled subjects derived from middle-class suburban life. Made shortly after he graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art, Love is a colorfully animated mash-up of family members amid appliances such as a washing machine, steam iron, and patio grill, epitomizing what the artist later identified as “this romantic idealization and longing (the American Dream?) that I keep pursuing in my work.”
