Did You Know?

Before 1991, Sol LeWitt used mathematical formulas to design sculptures. After that, he incorporated intuitive decisions into his work. Black with White Lines, Vertical, Not Touching eschews mechanical precision for the imperfect, haphazard marks of the artist's hand.
