Sake Bottle: Ryukyu Namban Ware

Description
Note the rich color gradations over the body that range from a deep brown to olive to ochre to a rust-red. The incised and gouged markings on the bottle contribute to its rustic texture.- (Sotheby Parke Bernet, Inc, sale #4406, 7/1-3/1980, lot 255).
