A vertically oriented black-and-white lithograph depicts a tall figure in angular metal armor and a small child with light skin tone. To our right, the armored figure leans forward, reaching down with a gauntleted hand to hold the hand of the child. The child wears a light garment and stands at our left reaching upward. Behind them, a shadowy silhouette with a wide, toothy grin emerges from the speckled darkness of the background.
