A vertically oriented etching depicts a village scene with thatched cottages in dense hatching and stippling. A small figure walks away in the lower left foreground. To the right, a tall pole topped with a cross rises, while a central spire pierces the horizon. Swirling, fine lines texture the sky and landscape, defining spindly foliage throughout. A signature and date appear in the upper right corner.
