A horizontal graphite drawing on an aged, tan sketchbook page features several studies. On our left, a seated man in period dress wears a wide-brimmed hat and puffed sleeves, hands resting in his lap. To our right, two smaller sketches repeat his head and hat. The bound edge of the book is visible on the left, while numbers mark the upper left corner. Fine, sketchy lines define the figures against the light paper.
