Throughout his career, Donald Judd explored the infinite possibilities of color and material while working with Minimalist, serial forms, like the stacked box seen here. In this piece, the sides of the factory-made boxes—conceived, designed, and ordered by the artist—are bright green, while the top and bottom of each unit is clear Plexiglas.
